1. Re: JBoss4.0.1(SP1) will support for Red Hat Linux 5.4 & Win
jaikiran Dec 3, 2009 7:35 AM (in response to kiran.jboss)1) Why such an old JBoss AS version?
2) Community versions are not "supported". But if you mean whether JBoss AS will "work" on those 2 OS, then yes it will work as long as you have Java installed there. Its very urgent clarification which i require.
JBoss community forums are driven by volunteers who answer to questions in their spare time. Adding "it's urgent" or something along those lines in your posts will have an opposite effect and not many would be interested in answering such questions. -

kiran.jboss Dec 3, 2009 8:49 AM (in response to kiran.jboss)Thanks Jai for your reply.
We are using community edition only. Due to some constraints we are not able to migrate JBoss AS.
According to your reply JBoss will work on Linux5.4 and Windows 7 OS. -
3. Re: JBoss4.0.1(SP1) will support for Red Hat Linux 5.4 & Win
peterj Dec 3, 2009 11:09 AM (in response to kiran.jboss)Which JDK version are you using? I recommend updating to the latest patch version. Example, if you are using JDK 1.4.2, use 1.4.2_19, or if using JDK 5 use 5.0 Update 21 (1.5.0_21). Those updated version will have better luck running on recent OSes. (I recall when trying out Vista when it first came out that there issues with the JDKs available at that time, though those problems all seemed to be related to GUI functionality; I don't recall having issues with running JBoss AS with those same JDKs on Vista.)
