cvandyck Dec 11, 2003 12:30 PM (in response to cvandyck)Hi Yes, I found my answer right after I posted (this always happens to me :) )... Here's what I found for MySQL and SQLServer:
For MySQL, I modified the deployment descriptor to append this string to the end of the connection url:
?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8
And for SQL Server, I found that the datatypes char, varchar, text must be converted to nchar, nvarchar, and ntext respectively. SQLServer by default uses a UNICODE encoding, so no deployment descriptor modification is necessary.
