Identifying is a queue already exists

What would be the best way - using core API to idnetify if a Queue already exists. Trying to create it and relying on Exception is less than optimal performance wise.

Use ClientSession.queueQuery(SimpleString).

I've tried this:

HornetQMessagingFactory.getSession().queueQuery(new SimpleString(queueName));

But it doesn't fail even when the queue doesn't exist. Or did you mean it won't fail and I need to investigate the state on the result object (QueueQuery)?

That's exactly what I meant since it appeared to me that your goal was to avoid a failure/exception.  To be specific, look at isExists() on the QueueQuery that is returned.
