Agent hostname not added to agent-configuration.xml?

Hello,

I am setting up a local (dev/qa) installation of RHQ and the agent on my laptop. I set my agent hostname to 127.0.0.1. But when I look into my agent-configuration.xml, I don't see any reference to this.

    rhq-agent.bat --cleanconfig
   
    Agent Name [localhost.localdomain] : 127.0.0.1
    Agent Hostname or IP Address [!*] : 127.0.0.1
    Agent Port [16163] : 16163
    RHQ Server Hostname or IP Address [127.0.0.1] :
    RHQ Server Port [7080] : 7080

But if I don't specify a agent hostname of 127.0.0.1, when I move between networks, it binds to different IP addresses. Is there a different place the agent uses to remember this agent hostname configuration?

Read the comments at the top of agent-configuration.xml very carefully - specifically about the part how it doesn't change and isn't where the live config is stored. There are FAQs and documentation around that also talks about this. Just search the docs on it. But the comments at the top of that .xml file should explain it.
