Bug on Custom Handler Logging JBoss EAP 6.1.1

Hi guys,

I configure in my JBoss EAP 6.1.1 a custom handler logging for my application in standalone mode.

I rotating my log file daily and when it reaches 500MB.

The problem happens when i restart my JBoss server, and i lost every data of active log file, because the log file is truncated

Anybody had this problem?

Try making the append property the first one. The order in which these are set can be important.

I tried and nothing. The same problem.

Just did a test and it works for me. That said I did have to fix the logging.properties file too. They key is to make sure append is the first property and also either delete the logging.properties configuration for your handler or fix it manually.

Thanks James, it works for me now. I needed to remove the logging.properties file and now safe to store my logs on file.
