JBoss AS 7 vs JBoss EAP 6

For JBoss EAP 6, if I pay extra bucks, I can get a GUI admin tool (so called JBoss Operations Network) so that I can use a GUI console to create data source, JAAS, jndi,  deployment of EAR , etc.

Now, for JBoss AS 7 (the free version), is there a (GUI) admin console as mentioned above?

If not, will I need to use the command line (or manually modify the *.xml files) for the data source, JAAS, jndi, and deployement?

JBoss AS7 and EAP6 are the same codebase. JON is an additonal tool which can be used to monitor and administrate both with more options.

A simple administration is provided with the so called domain mode. you can use the management console as http based administration with AS7 or EAP6.

No, JBoss Operations Network (JON) is add on product for monitoring.

You can take a look at RHQ RHQ - JBoss Community which is upstream project for JON.

Which admin console offer the GUI for configuration of jdbc data source, JAAS, JNDI and deployement?

Is it via http://host:9990?  RHQ? or JBoss Operations Network (JON)?

Or something else?
