1. Re: Could not register a EJB receiver.
wdfink May 16, 2014 6:15 PM (in response to gotenxds)did you tried the ejb-remote quickstarts for wildfly?
Did you bound the server against localhost without changing the ports?
Maybe you show the server.log

jaikiran May 17, 2014 9:13 AM (in response to gotenxds)Are you using the correct versions of the client libraries?

3. Re: Could not register a EJB receiver.
gotenxds May 17, 2014 10:46 AM (in response to gotenxds)Unfortunately i cant post the server logs because my company is using a private network and there is no way for me to get that file out.
I'm not sure what you mean by bound the server, i did not change the ports.
I believe I'm using the current versions; jboss-ejb-client:2.0.0Final - All according to the quickstart setup
Any way for me to see the reason it cannot connect?
I mean i can telnet that port and get a respond, so its not the server itself.
But i have no way of knowing if its because of an incorrect password, messed up libraries or anything else.

4. Re: Could not register a EJB receiver.
jaikiran May 17, 2014 11:33 AM (in response to gotenxds)Don't you see an exception stacktrace on the client side along with that WARN message? Try enabling TRACE level logging of org.jboss.ejb.client package on the client side to find more detailed logs.

6. Re: Could not register a EJB receiver.
wdfink May 19, 2014 7:19 AM (in response to gotenxds)This message is unfotunately not very informative.
To get an idea what might wrong you should post
- what is changed in the server configuration
- how do you start the server (command options)
- it might help if you add a log4j.jar and a log4j configuration to your client and activate TRACE for "org.jboss.remoting" and "org.jboss.ejb.client" as Jaikiran said

maurizo.mueller Aug 13, 2014 10:11 AM (in response to gotenxds)Hi David,
I have the same problem on Wildfly 8.1: "WARN: Could not register a EJB receiver for connection to 127.0.0.1:8080"
have you found a solution?

Maurizio

8. Re: Could not register a EJB receiver.
wdfink Aug 13, 2014 11:43 AM (in response to maurizo.mueller)Hi Maurizio,
this message can have multiple reasons.
You should open a new thread and provide the client code an the servers JNDI output.
Also you should have a look to the quickstart ejb-remote to look how the ejb invocation works.

maurizo.mueller Aug 14, 2014 2:40 AM (in response to wdfink)Hi,
thanks for the reply!
I started a new thread https://community.jboss.org/thread/243625
The code is exactly the quickstart ejb-remote
