I am new to JBPM and using JBPM 6.0.0 Final version.

In my workflow there are several tasks which are to be carried one after another once the prior one are successful. I want to inquire if one of my workflow tasks are failed or waiting for some user input at Run Time, Is there a way I could fetch some meta data information apart from Logger to see the status of my workflow in run time. My basic aim is to prepare a dashboard where The user could see at run time how many processes have completed and how many are waiting to be completed i.e basically to read meta data information. Is that feasible in JBPM 6.0.0 Final which I am using. Please suggest!

This kind of information is stored in the database by the audit logger (and used in the jbpm-console for exactly the use cases you are describing).  You could access this information directly (do your own queries) or use org.jbpm.process.audit.JPAAuditLogService for some predefined queries.

In jBPM 6.1, you can also RuntimeEngine.getAuditLogService()
