I'm following this thread and e-mail notifications for replies are VERY laggy. For any replies that happen during the day, I'm not getting e-mails until late afternoon/early evening (roughly 6 PM EDT). Then notifications show up in a burst. For any replies that happen late at night, I get notified immediately. It's like something is hogging resources and preventing e-mails from being sent in a timely manner during the day, then at night it "catches up" and starts sending e-mails immediately.
On an unrelated note, when I replied to that thread, I had to manually start following it in order to get reply notifications. I'd like to automatically follow any thread I reply to, but I can't find any setting to do that. Am I missing something?
