User Transaction not allowed for EJBs

Hi All,

        I am trying to access a bean method that uses User Transaction and session context. When I try to get User transaction from the ejb context I get the following error.

"only session and message driven beans with bean-managed transaction demarcation are allowed to access UserTransaction"

Can someone please help?

Jaikiran, I am using EJBs with the below configuration in ejb-jar.xml.

<session>

<ejb-name>ViewBean</ejb-name>

<home>ViewHome</home>

<remote>View</remote>

<session-type>Stateless</session-type>

<ejb-class>ViewBean</ejb-class>

</session>

and in jboss.xml

<session>

<ejb-name>ViewBean</ejb-name>

<jndi-name>ViewBean</jndi-name>

</session>

Can you please guide me if my bean can use UserTransaction methods?
