1. Re: Does it exist a way to customize the BPMN2 palette when using process modeling tool with JBPM6.0.1?
douglas2008 Jun 24, 2014 6:32 AM (in response to douglas2008)Does any solution exist to the question? Today, I returned my focus on jbpm6.0.1 development enviroment with eclipse, and found BPMN2 tool profile can create some profiles on bpmn2 modeling. But this kind of palette customization is very limited of its function. Because the new BPMN2 standard allows some vendors to extand their own element. But I cannot find a way to extand my element by customizing the jbpm bpmn2 process modeling tool. Does JBPM6.0.1 can really give me a way to do so? Or, do I have to wait for the future version for relevant solution?
I am looking forward to any expert's reply very much.
Thanks in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Douglas Chen

douglas2008 Jun 25, 2014 3:09 AM (in response to douglas2008)Is the customization (such as add customized element to the palette) to the JBPM6.0.1 bpmn2 modeling palette is very difficult or even impossible to implement ?
If it does not exist any solution to it by using JBPM6.0.1, I will have to look for other solution.
WELL,I wish I won't regret to select JBPM6.0.1.......

The old eclipse bpmn2 editor does not support extensible tool palettes, but you may want to try installing the latest version of eclipse BPMN2 Modeler from the update site. Documentation for the Extension Point API can be found in the eclipse wiki page for BPMN2 Modeler. Search for the <toolPalette> extension element to see how to define your own Tool Palette.
If you have questions, please ask on the BPMN2 Modeler forum.
Cheers,
Bob
P.S. You won't regret having selected jBPM

Thanks to your reply, though the solution seems not very relative to JBPM6.0.1
I will try with the latest version of eclipse BPMN2 Modeler from the update site.
