JBPM Designer: HTML Markup Tasks Form changed to use Process variables?

How hard would it be to change the JBPM designer so that the task HTML markup forms drive off process variable directly and do not use task variables?

the issue would be more on runtime side as engine distinguish between task and process variables and maps them accordingly to data input and output definition. Why would you need to use directly process variables in task forms?

We have a requirement to PDF the form of a workflow at anytime during the workflow's execution - this would be considerably easier if the form could be constructed at any time using the process variables.  Right now the PDF and archiving is in a task separate from the task form.
