Ability to entered description that snaps Process instances and tasks

I have a requirement to implement a description specific to an individual process instance that also is associated with all tasks in the process.  In JBPM 6.1 CR1 it is difficult to associate process instances and tasks from one another.  Identifying by user is not enough as a user could have multiple instances of the same process.  Does this make sense?  Any ideas on the best way to implement this capabilty?

Hi Tim, this sounds as a really nice feature to add to the KIE-Workbench/jBPM Console NG, are you using these tools? or do you just want to get it done with the core framework?

We can work on this together if you are planning to use the tooling. Let me know what are your plans exactly and we can start planning the work, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement right now.

We would love to work with you - we use KIE-Workbench/jBPM Console NG however we also use the REST calls to start processes and tasks so would need the REST layer enhanced also.
