Question about the documentation

I´m getting in touch with JBoss clustering for the first time and I´m reading the following documentation:

AS7 Cluster Howto - JBoss AS 7.1 - Project Documentation Editor

In the section "Interface config on slave" it says:

"First we need to remove the domain.xml from slave, because slave will not act as domain controller and is under the management of master"

But if I do this,when I try to start up the slave I get a FileNotFoundException complaining on the absence of domain.xml

How is the domain controller of that host configured?  i.e. In host.xml, what are the contents of <domain-controller>...</domain-controller>?

domain.xml is only superfluous if the host.xml domain element is different to <local>.

In general the domain/host controller configuration is administrative and is not related to clustering
