drathnow Aug 11, 2014 10:32 AM (in response to blueyikim)Thanks for the reply but this is the same discussion I referenced in my original post. And, as I said, it deals with a standalone server, not a domain controller.
However, it appears to be the best I can find. I've since been playing with it and have it *almost* working. Shutting down the service doesn't work but I may be a problem with prunsrv.exe. I'm still investigating.

of course you still need to install the native components 6.2 which contain v6 of the script anyhow
and for shutdown: the most common error is missing to specify the user/password as those are needed for a non-local shutdown
