The Hotrod RemoteCacheManager does not implement the CacheContainer interface and the RemoteCache does not implement the Cache interface. Why does the Hotrod remote cache implement nothing more than the basic cache functionality? My problem is that I am using the embedded cache and the locking functionality and need to switch to using a remote cache. But, the Hotrod client does not support locking that I can see. Do I have other options to get what I want?
