Question about restrictions on creating new, non-temporary tables in a VDB from a client connection.

The documentation describes the ability to create local and foreign temporary tables.

If an application needs to create permanent tables (for aggregations or pivots), is there a way to do this now or later?

I saw Steven Hawkins reply to a BI question(https://community.jboss.org/thread/240849) where he mentioned that the integration capabilities can eliminate concerns such as creating new data marts.

But what if you still want/need to create aggregation tables without using temporary tables?

As a secondary question, is it possible to add a PK and/or indexes to temporary tables?

Have look at materialization feature Materialized Views I think you looking for something like that.  Also see A "How To" Guide For Materialization (caching) Views In Teiid

As per the PK and indexes on temp tables, they have PK but the secondary indexes are not possible (I believe) at this time.
