ceppelli Oct 14, 2007 5:26 PM (in response to eeuerlings)The ?org.apache.cxf_2.0.2.2.jar? presents in the update site ?http://repo.open.iona.com/fuse-update-site/plugins/? has a wrong package structure.
The plugin directories/files are contained in nested subdirs ?plugins/org.apache.cxf_2.0.2.2-fuse? instead in the root of the jar file.
If you repackage the jar it would work.

Luca.

3. Re: Eclipse Europe, Fuse Tooling 1.3.5
rguikers Oct 18, 2007 6:44 AM (in response to eeuerlings)I'm wondering how did you get Eclipse 3.3 with SOA Tools working.
My eclipse installation (Eclipse 3.3 fall maintenance) is not complete after downloading the STP (0.7.x) platform from the Europa updates.
Preference pages are missing, and the SOA menu item too.
Already placed this on the eclipse forums, but no answer yet.
Question is : Is STP properly installed on your side?. And if so, how did you manage to get this complete?
Thanks.

4. Re: Eclipse Europe, Fuse Tooling 1.3.5
eeuerlings Oct 18, 2007 7:19 AM (in response to rguikers)Well basicly, I have STP installed on my release but I also only have the B2J settings and nothing else. I've stopped to play arround with the stp release for reasons: 1. I've installed it on several plattforms and ended up with several error scenarios (Fedora, OSX, Windows XP and FreeBSD) and 2. the OSGI flags that have to be set to get the 0.6 STP release running blocked my vm to start the debugging session. I've removed the flag, debugger came up but I could not regenerate classes from WSDL.
Since Mac OS X and Linux are my favorite platforms, I've decided to wait till a 1.0 Version is available and will use Netbeans till then.

bsnyder Oct 18, 2007 9:39 AM (in response to eeuerlings)FYI, another incremental update for the Fuse Eclipse Tools was pushed this week. Installation steps are here:

Some of the screenshots need to be redone, but those directions should be OK.

I did a complete reinstallation of STP and Fusion Tools today in a brand new vmware. Still I'm getting hit by the SWT (Multiple display error) on Linux. And the Version still shows 1.3.5 f Iona Fuse Tools

davestanley Oct 22, 2007 12:32 PM (in response to eeuerlings)The "Workbench early startup" error is discussed in http://open.iona.com/issues/browse/ESB-42. This should be addressed in the 1.4.0 release of the tooling.

oisin Oct 22, 2007 5:47 PM (in response to eeuerlings)STP developers use Windows, MacOS X, Fedora and Ubuntu (that we know of!) and there hasn't been any specific OS behaviours reported. It's always helpful to us if you can report a bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug_wizard.cgi

oisin Oct 22, 2007 5:59 PM (in response to rguikers)The first Europa Fall build had an error in one of the STP plugins that escaped into to the wild, I'm afraid To get better value, visit the latest update on the STP europa site: http://download.eclipse.org/stp/updates/europa/

10. Re: Eclipse Europe, Fuse Tooling 1.3.5
eeuerlings Oct 22, 2007 6:39 PM (in response to oisin)Hi,
I will report errors in the future. I've two macs on hand. One is a MacBook Pro and the other is a a PowerBook. Both of then have the newest 1.5 Java and the actual release of Eclipse on it. I'm only using the update feature and do not manually install anything. I'm playing around with several versions of Fuse and Celtix. I was able to do wsdl2java from the command line and could deploy the services using the command line. But by clicking on the WSDL and clicking on STP->Gen Code, nothing happend. By following the instructions here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/STP_Service_Creation_getting_started , I've added the -Dorg.osgi.framework.bootdelegation=* option. By doing this, I was able to generate the code. On both Macs, I'm not able to debug cause of a JVM Message (classloader / not implemented ) which I can't remember exactly at the moment. I do not have this issue on the PC. In my humble opinion, there are plattform specific issues.
