fbolton Jan 7, 2008 5:01 AM (in response to aileenc_aileenc1601)The appearance of 'UserName' in the path 'C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\.m2\repository\org\apache\camel\camel-spring\1.3.0.0-fuse\camel-spring-1.3.0.0-fuse.jar' looks a bit suspicious. Did you specify your actual Windows user name in the directory name when you set the M2_REPO classpath variable in Eclipse?

aileenc_aileenc1601 Jan 7, 2008 5:21 AM (in response to fbolton)Hi Fintan,
I had fixed that problem but for some reason this jar file still wasn't getting downloaded from the Maven repository. I finally got the demo to build by listing the repository containing this jar in the demo's pom which forced the download.
As configuring Maven correctly is non trivial it may be easier to get demos working out of the box if they don't rely on downloading files from Maven repositories. In this case the jar I needed was already included in the installation so there was no need to go looking for it elsewhere.

Hmm! That's a bit worrying. It ought to work out of the box. I'll try running the demo again.

I agree that it's not ideal. In fact it is ultimately silly for Maven to go and download JAR files that are already in the local lib directory. It would be better if Maven looked in the 'lib' directory first, but I don't know how to persuade Maven to do this.

fbolton Jan 15, 2008 12:57 PM (in response to aileenc_aileenc1601)The tutorial chapter of the FUSE Mediation Router Getting Started Guide has now been updated (see http://open.iona.com/documentation/fuse-mediation-router-documentation). The tutorial now explains how to add the list of IONA Maven repositories to the tutorial's POM file.
Cheers,
