Problems with archetype catalog file.

Hello,

In my Eclipse Maven env, I added

http://repo.open.iona.com/maven2/

as a remote archetype catalog, just as instructed here.

When trying to create a new Maven project with the archetype servicemix-osgi-cxf-wsdl-first-archetype:2008.01.0.3-fuse, I get this error in Eclipse during project creation:

Unable to create project from archetype [org.apache.servicemix.tooling:servicemix-osgi-cxf-wsdl-first-archetype:2008.01.0.3-fuse -> null]
The desired archetype does not exist (org.apache.servicemix.tooling:servicemix-osgi-cxf-wsdl-first-archetype:2008.01.0.3-fuse)

Anyone any idea what's wrong?

Looks like you do not have the org.apache.servicemix.tooling:servicemix-osgi-cxf-wsdl-first-archetype:2008.01.0.3-fuse jar in your local repository.

I do not know why the eclipse could not download it directly from the http://repo.open.iona.com/maven2/ even though it was able to find the pom file from the http site.

To fix it, you will need to download the http://repo.open.iona.com/maven2/org/apache/servicemix/tooling/servicemix-osgi-cxf-wsdl-first-archetype/2008.01.0.3-fuse/servicemix-osgi-cxf-wsdl-first-archetype-2008.01.0.3-fuse.jar and manually install it using maven:

mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=org.apache.servicemix.tooling -DartifactId=servicemix-osgi-cxf-wsdl-first-archetype -Dversion=2008.01.0.3-fuse -Dpackaging=jar -Dfile=/path/to/file

Then it should work for you.
