1. Re: Startup problem : fuse-integration-designer-1.2 (Linux)
sinavolu May 29, 2009 2:44 AM (in response to pchandler)Can you give more details about the Linux you are using?
Like if it is 64 bit OS or 32 bit (note that the FID 1.2 is supported only on 32 bit, and won't work on 64 bit).

sachinh Jun 1, 2009 3:05 AM (in response to pchandler)I might be completely wrong with this but one thing to try is to use a 32-bit VM for your platform and run Eclipse and the plug-ins with that VM. I think that might work on a 64-bit machine. As mentioned earlier in this thread, we do not currently support the 64-bit VM.
Hope this helps.

pchandler Jun 1, 2009 11:03 AM (in response to sachinh)"You should use the plugins from the update site which are architecture neutral from your own Eclipse 3.4 installation. These should work on a 64 bit platform. I believe the installation guide shows how to install from fusesource."
Is the eclipse plug-in architecture neutral? If so. could someone please point me to the update site? Or is the Eclipse Plug-in 32 bit only?
Thanks, Peter.

sinavolu Jun 1, 2009 1:10 PM (in response to pchandler)Here is the documentation on how to install FID using update site:
http://fusesource.com/docs/id/1.2/install_guide/index.html. See the section "Installing FUSE Integration Designer from the Update Site".
You need to download the 64 bit Eclipse from Eclipse site (3.4.1 JEE distro) and then use the update site.
But again, we don't support FID on 64 bit platform and hence it is not tested.

mahesh_maheshs Jun 2, 2009 1:43 AM (in response to pchandler)For now, if all is well with eclipse installation, you can try the following.
go to the directory /platform/eclipse to launch eclipse as follows
1. cd <fuse-integration-designer-1.2>/platform/eclipse+ +2. ./eclipse -product com.fusesource.tools.branding.product
This will launch the FUSE Integration Designer.
