faulty error message (IllegalStateException)
I have a problem in a session facade bean (JBoss 3.2.4).
It reports "java.lang.IllegalStateException: A CMR field cannot be set or added to a relationship in ejbCreate; this should be done in the ejbPostCreate method instead [EJB 2.0 Spec. 10.5.2]." while the object has already been created.
Stacktrace and code are below.
It seems that the bookkeeping is going wrong. The facade creates an entity bean and populates some fields in it. This happens in the SFSB ejbCreate method. When setting the values for the CMR fields in the entity bean, the error occurs. However, the entity bean is already fully constructed at that time. The fact that the SFSB is still inside the ejbCreate method should not have any influence on this.
Is my assesment correct? Are there any workarounds to this problem? Or am I missing something?
