    Why camel over ESB EIPs?

    wsimmons

I'm new to the whole ESB scene so can some explain why I would want to use the Camel router instead of the EIPs that come with the FUSE ESB?  Is it ease of configuration?  I'm at the edge of understanding what I'm saying here so please correct me if I'm wrong but it seems a Service Assembly has a more hard coded route, while Camel is controlling routes by configuration files more.  Is this correct? If so is it the only reason to use Camel over EIPs?

I'm confused with so much new data to try and learn, I'm not sure where one service stops and another begins.  Thanks in advance for fielding such a simple question.
