    fuse-esb-4.2.0.0-windows.exe?

    paul_paul.drover

      OK, new to this.

I downloaded FUSE ESB 4.2 for windows from here: http://repo.fusesource.com/maven2/org/apache/servicemix/apache-servicemix/4.2.0-fuse-02-00/

I'm trying to use the installation instructions (which are 4.1, btw) and I'm not seeing fuse-esb-4.2.0.0-windows.exe anywhere in the archive.

      How is it installed?

      Paul.

          Hi,

If you are on windows you can download

          apache-servicemix-4.2.0-fuse-02-00.zip

and simply unzip this file should be ok for you to use it.

Thanks Freeman, but now I'm a bit stuck. I'm not sure where to turn if the installation instructions are N/A. I've uncompressed to C:\Program Files\apache-servicemix-4.2.0-fuse-02-00. Now what?

In the bin dir there is:

            admin.bat

            karaf.bat

            servicemix.bat

            start.bat

            stop.bat

All of these complain about $JAVA_HOME and $KARAF_HOME. I fixed $JAVA_HOME easily enough, but no idea about $KARAF_HOME. Is this something I have to download as well? There was no mention in the installation instructions I've tried to use.

Once that's solved, do I run admin first? or servicemix? or karaf? or just start?

Point me to the documentation, please!

            Paul.

There is a rather big documentation menu which lists documentation for FUSE ESB 4. You can click this link http://fusesource.com/products/enterprise-servicemix4/#documentation.

See the getting started guide how to start/stop FUSE ESB and what to do next etc.
