Need help with fuse and camel

Hi All,

I am new to camel. I have read various documents available about camel on both camel apache site as well as on fuse (http://fusesource.com/docs/router/2.2/getting_started/index.html). I wanted to know few things about fuse and camel as mentioned below:

1) I tried to create a sample project using Stage 1: Create a New Project of http://fusesource.com/docs/router/2.2/getting_started/index.htm but it is failing with error Downloading: http://192.168.64.162:8080/archiva/repository/internal/org/apache/camel/archetypes/camel-archetype-java/2.4.0-fuse-00-00/camel-archetype-java-2.4.0-fuse-00-00.jar

Unable to find resource 'org.apache.camel.archetypes:camel-archetype-java

:jar:2.4.0-fuse-00-00' in repository id0 (http://repo.fusesource.com/maven2).Can someone please help me to resolve the issue.

2) Is it necessary to use maven to create project? OR is there any alternative available.

3) Is there a way to configure plugin in eclipse. I tried but no luck.

4) How to use fuse Graphical Editor to create camel projects.

Any link to good document will be appreciated.

Please check you maven proxy to make sure it can access the fusesource maven repo.

I just tried this url[1], and it worked for me.

http://repo.fusesource.com/maven2/org/apache/camel/archetypes/camel-archetype-java/2.4.0-fuse-00-00/

If you are m2eclipse, it should be easy to create camel project with it, and it just calls the maven archetype plugin, so you need to make sure you can download the artifact rightly.

I have successfully created sample project and it is running. Thanks again.

I have also configured maven in eclipse so is there any graphical editor available to build camel application? or it required to always write code.

No, you can write the route with a simple text edit
