doing findAll on CMP bean and receiving timeout

Hi,

I have a CMP bean with container managed transaction. I'm doing a findAll on a table with 370000 lines. The findall() stops with this stack trace :

Can I change this timeout value somewhere ? The timeout value of the datasource is 10 minutes, but I guess this has nothing to do with this error.

Is there somebody who can point me in the right direction ? Any help is deeply appreciated !

try to increase the transaction-timout (default 300)

The solution is not to increase the tx timeout value....but to optimize the cmp engine or use ejbSelect or ejbHome method to retrieve the data wihtout associating with that huge number of entities...

Please let us know how long does it take to retrieve this huge number of records...

I was just trying the lazy loading. I saw in the documentation that it is implemented since 3.2.6RC1, so I installed this version.
However, I get this error message :

Maybe the xml schema (or dtd) is not updated ?

Hi, thanks a lot ! The lazy loading works like a charm. However, I still get a transaction time-out, I guess because still the process takes a long time and everything is in one big transaction. I will try to solve this by starting and stopping a transaction manually.

PS : using the ejbSelect method like suggested above also works, but I find it less elegant (just adding an xml tag is also a lot easier).
