Statistics of a Queue

Hi,

I have set up, installed, clustered activemq all thanks to the awesome documentation of fusesource. I have a small requirement before the whole thing can go live.

How do I get some numbers for a queue.

Eg) How many messages matching criteria X,Y are there in a queue at a given moment.

The dirty way is that I can mirror the queue and generate the statistics myself. Is there a better way ?

You can also use JMX
