Deploy services with Fuse ESB 3.4.0.5 on WebSphere 6.1

Hi,

  I followed the example under fuse-esb-3.4.0.5\examples\servicemix-web to create a war and ear file for WebSphere 6.1. I was trying to deploy a Web service using CXF, but it looks like the JMX server was not properly started.

  I see these errors when the esb is started:

a) "Could not start ClientFactory: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name comp/env/jbi not found in context "java:". "

b) "Failed to start jmx connector: connector:cell=machine7Node10Cell,name=rmi,node=machine7Node10,process=server1 "

There seem to be discussions about the same errors on the internet, but no solutions can be found. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you using CXF BC and CXF SE?

If you just deploy a service which is just using CXF, it will not start a JMX server by default.

My service uses both CXF BC and SE. I am trying this service as the first step, eventually I will also need WSN component for subscribe/notification. We were able to start JMX server/ connector on Tomcat with the same code, then run the ANT script to deploy and start my service.

I realized it must be that the JMX connector is not started, not the JMX server, in my test with WebSphere?
