1. Re: Dynamic GUI camel route creator
davsclaus Feb 24, 2012 3:21 AM (in response to marc.blomquist)Fuse IDE is a Camel GUI editor for Eclipse.
http://fusesource.com/products/fuse-ide/
This tool can edit existing routes at runtime.
You can load new routes into a running Camel from a XML file as shown here
http://camel.apache.org/loading-routes-from-xml-files.html
So with the Fuse IDE tooling you can create the XML files in a GUI. And then use that approach above to load the routes into your running Camel app.
We could possible also consider adding this out of the box in Fuse IDE.

jamie3_james.archibald May 2, 2012 6:42 AM (in response to davsclaus)Is there any plan to have the camel routes in the FuseIDE exportable to Visio or an equivalent program?
Would be great to be able to reverse engineer the Camel routes for insertion into design documents.
cheers

3. Re: Dynamic GUI camel route creator
davsclaus May 2, 2012 8:11 AM (in response to jamie3_james.archibald)Fuse IDE 2.1 can export the route diagrams in bitmap formats such as bmp, png etc.
But not in native Visio format.
Maybe in a future release some sort of export to vector format would be possible.
