camel-core as jboss 7 module leads to NoClassDefFoundError

and create JBoss AS 7 module xml

As Camel does not have a core package. Maybe it should just be org.apache.camel ?

Or are there some changes between version 2.8.0 and 2.9.2

I suggest you should take this to the JBoss community, and ask them to get their module loader to work with Camel.

We used to have some special JBoss components for JBoss 5.x, and 6.x hosted at Camel Extra

http://camel.apache.org/camel-jboss.html

But they are hard to keep up to date, as JBoss change their structure in each release, eg now 7, which uses a new JBoss Module System. If JBoss could contribute a new component that works with JBoss 7, then we are happy to host it at Camel Extra as well.

Or if JBoss could provided a Apache friendly module (eg license wise), then we could host it directly at Apache, which gets a much wider exposure, and easier for end users as well. But its in the hands of JBoss.

Problem is solved.

Checked the switchyard project from JBoss and how they solved it

and adapt it to run without switchyard components.

module.xml should look like

Note: I failed without the dependencies != org.slf4j even if the camel documentation

told me that camel 2.9.2 only requires org.slf4j
