OSGI implementation

Hello,

I have an application running in Fuse 4.3.1 and I am currently evaluating the impact of migrating to 4.4.1.

I noticed that in 4.3.1, the default OSGI implementation is Equinox. But in 4.4.1, OSGI implementation is Felix.

Can anybody tell me why the default implementation changed (I know that Fuse supports both, but I am still curious ...).

I guess the main reason is supportability - we already have people that are active in the Apache Felix community, which makes it a lot easier to get bugs fixed or improvements added to the codebase there.
