Can't add messages to queue via UI - javax/xml/bind/DatatypeConverter

Hi, I am using Fuse-MQ-Enterprise-7.0.2 on RHEL 5.8 64bit.

Java version is:

# java -version

java version "1.7.0_09"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_09-b05)

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.5-b02, mixed mode)

I can queue and dequeue messages fine using the tool:

java -jar lib/mq-client.jar producer and consumer

However when using the UI to try and send messages to the queue (Queues>Operations>Send To) I get the following error (full error attached):

javax/xml/bind/DatatypeConverter

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/DatatypeConverter

This indicates that there is a jar missing however no mention of this can be found in the install guide.

Would appreciate any help in resolving!

Yeah, this should have gone into the MQ forum.  But the basic problem is that 7.0.2 doesn't support Java 7, the upcoming 7.1 release will.

Apologies for posting in the wrong place - but many thanks for the response. I will check with 6 and see if we still get the same error.

OK - rebuilt using Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_37-b06)

but still get the same error. Will repost in the Fuse MQ forum.
