Camel OSGi Unit Integration test

I was going through the samples at https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/camel/trunk/tests/camel-itest-osgi/.

I tried to reproduce it, however I kept getting:

It appears the bundleContext is null.

I stumbled on this http://forum.springsource.org/showthread.php?84859-Using-spring-dm-for-JUnit-tests-invoked-from-JMeter but no solution is proffered on how to resolve.

Camel OSGi Unit Integration test is leveraging the Pax-Exam to start the OSGi platform for us. I'm not sure why it relates to Spring DM.

From the stack trace I think you don't use the Pax-Exam to start the OSGi platform for you. Can you double check it?

While I am not certain what exactly you mean by "use pax-exam to start OSGi platform" I assume the sample in the camel-itest-osgi in (https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/camel/trunk/tests/camel-itest-osgi) does that and I followed the example.

And yet I still cant explain why it is not starting.

camel-itest-osgi is not meant for end users to use for their camel testing. Its for internal testing of Camel. The code can change between releases etc.

We have camel-test, camel-test-spring and camel-test-blueprint for end users for testing.

Hopefully one day we have a public camel-test-karaf for people to use for their pax-exam Karaf tests with Camel.
