Is it still necessary to have Apache HTTPD in front of WildFly?

Hello Everyone,

Other than the need for load balancing with mod_jk, mod_proxy or mod_cluster, are there any reasons for having Apache HTTPD in front of WildFly or even JBoss? My understanding is that this was also necessary because of performance issues related to serving static content. With Undertow and ability to add native APR to JBoss I would think those performance limitations no longer exist. What are some reasons for still having this setup?

Hello,

Without balancing service I don't see any reason to use httpd, i you have only one server you can take off the httpd without problems.
