1. Re: Configure Jboss eap 6.2 to use log4j2
jamezp Aug 19, 2014 11:42 AM (in response to wattale)There is not a way to configure a log4j2 logmanager via the logging subsystem. This works with log4j(1) by a custom log4j fork where the logmanager bits have been replaced to delegate to JBoss Log Manager. Nothing like this has been done for log4j2 yet and may not even happen.

2. Re: Configure Jboss eap 6.2 to use log4j2
wattale Aug 19, 2014 12:29 PM (in response to jamezp)Actually I found a way. I was using slf4j with log4j so now i'm configuring slf4j to invoke log4j2 methods without changing the underlying code as stated here http://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/maven-artifacts.html. But I have a small question that is, I couldn't configure it to use single log4j2.xml file to all the modules. Currently I'm including log4j2.xml in each and every module (it works, still there are some issues to be solved eg: spring security logging)

3. Re: Configure Jboss eap 6.2 to use log4j2
jamezp Aug 22, 2014 6:06 PM (in response to wattale)You'd need to make sure that file is in the class path. Maybe it just needs to be a resource in the log4j2 module.
