Question - Why is Maven required to install JBOSS Developer ??

Hi,  I'm fairly new to JBOSS and Apache.  Can somebody tell me why Maven is required to install JBOSS Developer ??

Hi, Where did you read Maven is required for JBDS? I believe JBDS embeds a Maven, so it might be totally possible to use it without a Maven installed.

..and you can even develop without using maven but we just do not recommend it since then you need to setup and download the dependencies manually.
