julian.donald Sep 29, 2014 4:30 AM (in response to julian.donald)So I ended up making my project Java 1.5 compliant, but just to confirm, was it the only solution?
Thanks again

swiderski.maciej Oct 1, 2014 2:11 AM (in response to julian.donald)that should not be the case - by default it should use the java version that it runs on. Do you mind creating a jira with project that requires java 1.7 so it can be verified?

3. Re: [Kie Workbench] 'Build & deploy' a JAVA 1.7 project
hdfhdf Oct 2, 2014 6:52 PM (in response to julian.donald)Both source code and target platform versions are fixed to 1.5. It doesn't matter what Java version you run or what's declared in project's POM.
What's even more interesting, org.eclipse.jdt.core.compiler.compliance parameter is not set at all, even to a constant version, so ecj adheres to it's default compliance level, which is 1.4!
When you discover all this the strange compilation errors suddenly become obvious...
