    websockets support in eap 6.3

    mlybarger

we were actively tracking the websockets support and was eager to see it in eap 6.3, but then at the last minute (release) it was listed as tech preview only, and unsupported feature.

where can i find more information on why?

We were awaiting receipt of the TCK to validate the JSR.  We have the TCK now and will offer support once we have fully executed it.  We will update the readme and the supported standards page on the Red Hat support portal when we have completed the work.

i appreciate the feedback john.  it's odd that jsr 356 was final in apr 2013 yet jboss was waiting on a tck?

No it is not odd, jsr 356 was part EE7 spec and as such part of TCK for EE7(released end of may 2013), which we implemented in WildFly 8.

EAP6.x on other hand is EE6 certified and is tested against TCK6.
