sakthiprabhu Oct 3, 2014 1:32 AM (in response to belaban)I have tried this. By providing -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true I am unable to communicate with IPv6 devices..

5. Re: How to restrict jgroups from binding to IPv6 address in the case when IPv6 is enabled and configured
belaban Oct 3, 2014 1:38 AM (in response to sakthiprabhu)Yes, of course, you're forcing IPv4 to be used !
What do you want to achieve: use IPv4 or IPv6 ?

7. Re: How to restrict jgroups from binding to IPv6 address in the case when IPv6 is enabled and configured
sakthiprabhu Oct 3, 2014 3:17 AM (in response to belaban)The case is to use Dual stack, but jgroups want to binded with IPv4 alone. Is this case is possible?..

8. Re: How to restrict jgroups from binding to IPv6 address in the case when IPv6 is enabled and configured
belaban Oct 3, 2014 5:02 AM (in response to sakthiprabhu)Very unclear what you want to do: if you want to use IPv4, use preferIPv4Stack=true, else preferIPv6Addresses=true.

9. Re: How to restrict jgroups from binding to IPv6 address in the case when IPv6 is enabled and configured
sakthiprabhu Oct 3, 2014 5:11 AM (in response to belaban)This is what we are expecting,
Ours is such an application which can comminicate with devices. We dont want Jboss AS to support IPv6. But we should be able to talk to IPv6 devices. You can view both a two different plances, where one plane has jboss bind IP and web IP. The other plane has device management IP. Only device management IP should support v6.
point is, we could have the same interface being both Joss Bind IP and Dev Managmenet IP. But logically, they are seperate.
