What I would like to achieve is to keep ALL the related JBoss logs in a specific location, other than the default one.
According to the documentation, the default location of the logs is the following folder: /var/log/jbossas
Is there any safe and supported way in order to change this location?
I have noticed that this location is referenced as a soft link from the JBOSS_HOME location (/usr/share/jbossas).
To be specific the /usr/share/jbossas/domain/log location points to the /var/log/jbossas/domain folder.
Is it OK to delete the link and create a new one with the desired location or I would cause a problem to the installation?
It is completely up to you where to link the log folder.
This is just default layout done by rpm installation.
App server doesn't care where the log folders are as long as the process has permissions to write to that folder.
