Hi

I am having a jbpm project. I converted the login module to database login module. I can login with the database user but cannot assign task. For the custom UserGroupCallBack i have just modified the jbpm.usergroup.callback.properties file in jbpm-human-task-core-5.4.0.Final.jar inside the huma task war. The jboss can find the modifications. When i create a new task

I got the server log as,

Why this is asking for the Business Administrators. How can i configure and resolve the problem??? Help me...

Can you please check if there is any role in the role table with the exact same name as  'Administrators' ? If not add that entry and recheck.

Thank you. But i cannot find that the task is not assigning to the particular role. I have created one user named 'Administrator'. The problem solved for assigning task to the user. But after adding the role 'Administrators' as you mentioned, cannot assign task to the particular role from the custom database table.

What is the roles query you are using within 'bpm.usergroup.callback.properties' ? Is it returning logged in user's role names along with 'Roles' properly ?

Example, 'db.user.roles.query=select r.name, 'Roles' from user_has_role uhr, role r where uhr.user_id = ? and r.id = uhr.role_id'

Debug in your 'DBUserGroupCallbackImpl' class to see if you are getting any exception there.

db.user.query=select password from test.principles where principal_id=?

db.user.roles.query=select user_role, 'Roles' from test.roles where principal_id=?

db.roles.query=select user_role, 'Roles' from test.roles where principal_id=?

i am having two tables in my database

principles and roles. The principle table holds the principle_id and password.

The roles table holds the principle_id, user_role and role_group.

Not getting any exceptions so far.

Where i am wrong???

Hi Kannan,

Your query looks fine as I believe it will return all the roles of logged in principal & 'Roles'. Have you got a chance to debug the class where this query is calling ? I have two questions -

1. If you are using 'org.jbpm.services.task.identity.DBUserGroupCallbackImpl' class for db authentication ?

2. what is the type of principal_id, if it is Integer ?

If both of my Q's answer is true, then issue is DBUserGroupCallbackImpl expects 'userId' as String. It will give you exception in case of Integer type principalId. You need to handle that.

If no, then setup a remote debugging in your jboss / wildfly server and debug within the class which you are using for db authentication. If you are using 'DBUserGroupCallbackImpl' class then put a brek point within 'org.jbpm.services.task.identity.DBUserGroupCallbackImpl.getGroupsForUser(String, List<String>, List<String>)' method and see if it is returning the roles properly or giving any exception.

1. Yes i am using the org.jbpm.services.task.identity.DBUserGroupCallbackImpl class for db authentication

2. The principal_id is of String type.

Let me check with the debugging.

I have to mention one more thing that, in my roles table there is user_roles and role_group columns. as per the method you mentioned 'org.jbpm.services.task.identity.DBUserGroupCallbackImpl.getGroupsForUser(String, List<String>, List<String>)', i believe its returning the user_role and 'Roles'. Does the role_group is having any important with this. If it is how to configure the role_group for users?

yes, it will return you the user_role and 'Roles'. role_group will not be important here. you are assigning the 'user_role' to the Human Task's 'groupId' right ?

yes, The thing is that for the particular user the task is assigning but not taking the user role.

No exceptions so far. I am using the jbpm installer and configured the properties in the bpm.usergroup.callback.properties as follows in jbpm-human-task-core-5.4.0.Final jar.

Is there any default roles required in the roles table as like the Administrator user required in the principles table.
