    Hello World not working

    luqiyi

I don't know why people want to release a product with its Hello World not able to work at all.

It's not working because the download of Maven repository always fails. I have tried it for several days without 1 success.

So a mechanism never works, for whatever reason you may always make excuse your repository does not have enough bandwidth. Did anybody force you to run communism?

It has been reported as working from our team of testers, and you're the first user to report it as failing. So overall, it is working; and the issue you get seems to be affecting you for some reason that seems to be a configuration issue on your side (such as a proxy setting or some network limitation).

If you want some help, please give more details about the version of JBDS you're using, your steps to initialize the Hello World, the repository which is failing to download, your OS, whether you can access the Maven repository directly.... I recommend you to read a few pages explaining how to ask questions and report technical issues efficiently.

            Edward,

Which Hello World ? (we got many examples)

What error are you getting ? if it is a download error then please check if your proxy settings in eclipse and maven is configured to actually allow remote access.

Otherwise please provide more details - like the actual error logged ?
