Dashboard HTTP status 404 /dashboard/j_security_check ERROR

Hi Alls,

I created a new role defined into WEB_INF/web.xml file.

but while I tried to logon the dashboard I was getting HTTP status 404 /dashboard/j_security_check.

Does anyone have any idea about this?

I described setting file.

Also, once you added the new role to the web.xml and restarted the server, did you login using the "admin" user and assigned the new role to any of the workspaces?

Yes ,I login using the "admin" user and assigned the new role to workspaces.

And I tried to logon the dashboard  using the "szuser"  I was getting HTTP status 404 /dashboard/j_security_check.

When you assigned the permission to the workspace, when you selected the role, which "Action" did you assign 'yes' to for the role;   Access, Administrate, Create Pages, etc?

I just went thru the following steps with no issue:

-  shut down server

-  added new user to teiid-security-roles.properties

-  added role for new user (I used your same role:  szuser)

-  changed the web.xml (as you did above)

-  started server

-  logged into using "admin" user and assigned Showcase workspace permission for "szuser" role, giving the role "Access" action.

-  logged out and then in with szuser with no issue.

I retry to add user and role by the your following steps.

I logon the dashboard  using the "szuser" user and I access the workspace.
