"Test JDBC Connection" Unable to establish jdbc connection in Teiid Designer

Hello,

I've set up JBOSS EAP 6.3 on Ubuntu. I've installed Teiid Designer  in JBoss Developer Studio 7.1.  All I'm trying to do is "Test JDBC Connection" and it gives me the message: unable to establish connection to the jdbc server. "jdbc:teiid:ping@mm//localhost:31000". There are no errors in the log that I can see, and testing the administration connection comes back" ok". I've also started JBoss EAP with the standalone-teiid.xml configuration.

What could be causing this to happen?

JBoss Developer Studio 7.1 does not support connecting to Teiid 8.9 + EAP 6.3.Alpha.

I have another question.If I want to use the Jboss Developer Studio 7.1. Which version of Teiid or EAP can be connected to  the JBoss Developer Studio 7.1  connect ?

JBoss Developer Studio 7.1.1 works with DV-6.0.0, you can download here http://www.jboss.org/products/datavirt/overview/

If you want use Designer 9.0 from here Download & Install - JBoss Community then you can use Teiid 8.8 + EAP 6.1Alpha

1.When I  install the Teiid Designer 9.0 into Eclipse 4.4.1,there are some errors like this:

You asked what works with JBoss Developer Studio 7.1.1, I told you DV-6.0.0, so there is no reason to install Teiid Designer 9.0, so ignore your question (1). Coming to question (2), in the "JBoss Central" page (Help->JBoss Central), you will see a tab called "Software/Update", click on it and find "JBoss Data Virtualization" and install. Before you can connect to server using JBoss Developer Studio, you have to install DV-6.0.0 and have it running. Then you can start a "external" server from JBoss Developer Studio from "Server" view window.

You installation is wrong. You missed a step to install, see "Install Into Luna" directions here Download & Install - JBoss Community and follow each one carefully

I've connected to the JDBC successfully and import a XML file via remote URL.However,when I want to Preview Data,there is an error like this image showing

That dialog is not an error, it is asking to enter a input value to execute a preview. However you may want to preview on the view table you created as part of import of XML (orange colored table) file than previewing source procedure (blue colored) for the XML data.

Ramesh is correct.

The getTextFile() procedure is generated and is required by Teiid runtime and is used in the generated view table transformation. It's not intended to be previewed on it's own.

Performing Preview Data on your generated view table should return a relational view (result sets) of your underlying XML data.

Your server installation is wrong, or you may have another instance of the server running on the same machine making the JDBC port 31000 not available.
