Deprecation of PicketBox and PicketLink in WildFly 9

There are several commits like "Deprecate PicketBox module" or "Deprecate PicketLink modules" or "Deprecate PicketLink IDM subsystem". What are the consequences? How will WildFly 9 handle identity management? Any hint is appreciated.

For now there are no consequences, just a heads up that in future release (read: something post WF9) we plan to replace this two with Elytron & KeyCloak

There are also numerous discussions on wildfly-dev mailing list about both this projects and their integration.

I would recommend you to subscribe to mailing list to be up-to-date with if you are interested.

In short, for WildFly 9 noting changes, but in 10+ we do plan to change quite a lot in this area.
