How to open the Properties window to specify the Taskname for a usertask in KIE workbench

Hello All,

I'm new to jbpm KIE workbench. I created a Usertask, however in order to set the ActorId,Task Name,etc  I need to be able to navigate to the  Properties Window.

Can someone tell me how to navigate to it.

You mean in process designer?

There is a panel on the right hand side of the screen where you can access to the properties.

Can you share a screenshot of the screen that you are looking at, where you don't find the properties panel?

"<<" button in the rightmost corner can be used to pull out the Properties Window

By the way, what's the difference (of use) between "Name" and "Task name" for a human task ?

As per my understanding they both have difference.

In Human Tasks

Name : Editable Field : is user defined information , it should be a value which is having any business context.

Task Name : For this There should be HumanTask Value but i see thats not populating by default.

All The Other Tasks : Example Service Task, WebService , REST tasks

Name : Editable Field : is user defined information , it should be a value which is having any business context.

Task Name : Non-Editable This is the name which is defined in the work Item definition files.

e.g. Webservice task's name in workDefinitions.wid file is "Webservice"

I hope this helps with some rationalization.
