JBoss EAP - How to Upgrade from Trial version to a Licensed version?

Hi Team,

I have taken an evaluation subscription to use JBoss EAP v6.1.0 for my own development purposes, and wish to purchase a license in a month or two.

Now since I have already installed this evaluation / trial version in my system and working on it, how can I upgrade this same JBoss EAP installation to the licensed version without installing JBoss again?

I have been searching Google for the past two days without any luck.

Can someone please help me?

Hi Vladimir,

I checked the link provided, and also viewed a couple of support tickets asking the same, but I still am confused, as the answers are not given in full details.

In one of the support tickets, it is said that we don't need to reinstall or update previous installation, once the license is purchased.

However, it is not clear on what basis is the licensing done (whether based on RHEL servers used or based on users) and in which JBoss folder structure will the license file be updated in.

It will be great if someone can enlighten me on these details.

Anutosh, there is no license file. Licensing is based on number of cores, but there is no Licensing manager as such. Also, this is the Infinispan forum and not the EAP forum.
