Can we use JBoss downloaded with format zip in Linux machine

Hi,

I have downloaded WildFly with format ZIP and configured in My Windows machine. Then I copied this into Linux and started. Is there any problem with this? Or do we need to use the format TGZ for Linux?

- "Zip" should work without any issues on Windows.
How the installation was archived does not matter much as long as you are able to unzip it properly in the OS where you want to install it.

I have unzipped into WIndows machine and configured for my application. Then I copied this into Linux. Is that fine?

you can use zip on linux without any problems.

however if you unzip on windows and copy over to linux, permissions on scripts might get lost.
to fix that just run on linux

chmod +x $JBOSS_HOME/bin/*.sh

where JBOSS_HOME is where you copied your installation
