This depends on your need.
RHQ is from Red Hat, so it is very good.
You can use Java Melody: https://code.google.com/p/javamelody/
It is free...
You can do tests with JMeter using VisualVM or JProfiler too...
In your company, do you use Nagios? You can write plugins for Nagios to check if your application is started or to check the memory...
