Preserve published order originated from same host using a Topic.

Hi I'm using a topic connection and I have a requirement where I need to keep the order that the messages

was published in from the same host. Any good way on how to accomplish this, I have tried message groups

and it works a bit better on the consumer side but still sometimes the messages comes out of order, I guess that is because I

use different producers?

If you want to guarantee order you'll need to use the same JMS session for every message you send.  However, note that JMS sessions are not thread-safe so you'll need to employ some kind of synchronization if you want to use the session from multiple threads.

Would it be a overkill to use a local queue using group id on messages where order matter to synchronize the access to the session.

I'm not sure what you mean.  Presumably you'd still have multiple producers sending messages to the local queue and that's where the messages would get out of order, no?
